My dear Friends, A Living Epiphany: Finding the Still Point in the Storm The great feast of the Epiphany reveals a God who will not be contained. The Magi’s journey shows us that the Light of the World draws near to those who seek, even from the farthest edges, breaching every boundary of nation, status, and expectation to reveal Himself. At the center of their turbulent journey—amidst political intrigue, long travel, and searching—they found a still point: the Child. Everything revolved around Him. Our own Watch Night service became an unexpected, living Epiphany. Into our worship came a modern-day seeker: Sameer, wounded, terrified, and in desperate need of sanctuary. In that moment, our liturgy was disrupted, and we were faced with a profound revelation in real time. Would we see only a disturbance, or could we, by grace, perceive the still point of Christ’s presence within the storm? In hindsight and reflection, some of us have asked: Could we have paused for a collective prayer?
