Dear Friends, Walking the Lenten Path As we continue our Lenten pilgrimage through the month of March, our Sunday readings deepen the journey, calling us ever closer to the heart of God. On the Second Sunday of Lent (1st March) , we hear the call of Abraham to leave everything familiar and step out in faith. With Nicodemus, we learn that this journey is not merely about self-improvement, but about a radical new birth from above. For “God so loved the world” that He gave His only Son – a love that will lead us inexorably to the Cross and beyond. The Third Sunday (8th March) brings us to the Samaritan woman at the well. At the place of human need and division, Christ offers the living water of Himself. Like her, we are invited to encounter the Lord who knows us completely and thirsts for our worship “in spirit and in truth.” On the Fourth Sunday – Parenting Sunday (15th March), we encounter a reading that speaks profoundly to the vocation of mothers and fathers. In the Presentation of Christ in the Temple, the aged Simeon turns to the Blessed Mother with words that must have pierced her heart:
